This year, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Panorama’s foundation (1985 – 2010), we will inaugurate a new institution: our Annual Lecture. Subject: the almost fifteen centuries which intervened from the Parthenon’s conversion to a Christian church, and later to a Muslim shrine, until the Holy Rock’s proclamation as the leading monument-symbol of the newly-established Greek State. Speaker: Garth Fowden, Research Professor, National Hellenic Research Foundation.
With this festal event, Saturday morning, 18 December 2010, we will bid farewell to the year. And with the repeat lecture on the morning of Tuesday, 11 January, we will welcome in 2011.
